A battery-management system watches voltage, current and temperature. Acoustic-emission monitoring adds a real-time record of activity inside the cells, synchronised with the BMS record, so operators have another signal for health and maintenance decisions and a route to earlier failure detection.
What a BMS sees, and what it doesn't.
A single failing cell can take a rack out of service or, at worst, raise the risk of thermal propagation. A battery-management system keeps the system within safe limits, but it measures each cell from the outside. Physical and chemical changes inside a cell can begin before voltage or temperature move, and acoustic emission comes from that internal activity.
Acoustic monitoring adds that record, synchronised with the BMS data. It does not control the battery or replace the protection a BMS provides.

What happens if a sensor fails or is damaged?
The system continuously monitors sensor health and automatically flags damaged or unresponsive units. Redundant sensor configurations maintain coverage while individual sensors are replaced.
What if the modules are in a noisy environment?
Our AI distinguishes battery acoustic signatures from environmental noise, including ambient vibration and cooling systems. Each installation is calibrated to its specific operating environment.
Does it replace the BMS?
