AcouBatt Ltd ("AcouBatt", "we", "us") is registered in England and Wales with company number 16409471. Our registered office is 83 Ellerton Road, London SW18 3NH, United Kingdom.

We are a UK battery-technology company. We use passive acoustic-emission sensors and AI analysis to help battery teams understand more about their cells. We are the controller for the personal data described in this policy unless we say otherwise.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we collect your name, work email address, organisation and whatever you tell us about what you are working on. We use this to respond to your enquiry, to arrange any follow-up conversation and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and developing our business, or, where we go on to contract with your organisation, the steps needed to enter into that contract.

When we work with you

If your organisation becomes a customer, partner or supplier, we collect business contact details, correspondence, meeting notes and billing information for the people we deal with. We use this to deliver and manage the work, to invoice and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Our lawful bases are the performance of the contract, our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in running our business.

When you apply to work with us

If you apply for a role, we collect your CV, contact details and anything else you send us, and we use it to assess your application. Our lawful basis is the steps needed before entering an employment or engagement contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.

When you visit this website

Our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, as part of serving and securing the site. We use our hosting provider's privacy-preserving analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you across sites.

In our projects we capture acoustic-emission data and, where a customer shares it, electrochemical and conventional data from their cells and equipment. This is operational data rather than personal data, and it belongs to the customer. Where such data does contain personal data, for example the names of engineers in test records, we process it as a processor on the customer's instructions under a written data processing agreement.

We share personal data only where we need to:

• Service providers who help us run the business and this website. At present these include our website host (Vercel), our email delivery service for the contact form (Resend), and our tools for email, documents, messaging and customer records. Each acts on our instructions under contract.
• Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Some of our service providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard permitted by UK data protection law.

We keep personal data for no longer than we need it:

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: 24 months from our last contact.
• Customer, partner and supplier records, including billing: 7 years after the relationship ends, to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
• Recruitment data: 12 months after the process ends, unless you ask us to keep it longer.
• Website and system logs: 24 months, for security.

After that we delete or anonymise the data.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access limited to the people who need it and confidentiality obligations on everyone who works with us. Our Data Security page describes how we handle customer data in projects.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data;
• restrict how we use it;
• give you your data in a portable form; and
• stop processing based on our legitimate interests, including for direct marketing.

You can also withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@acoubatt.ai. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top. Material changes to how we use data already collected will be brought to your attention.
